Hi Pastor Jason!

I just received this email from Juan Domingo regarding his kid’s names and ages.  I know that his son just started in the ministry and is being mentored in daily ministry and leadership.  His son was just discipling a group of men during a one week retreat. Juan Domingo has had back problems and is trying to recuperate from that.  Just some info for you and your ministry to help you guys  gather some things. J  I’m still working on collecting more information!

I’m receiving the last boxes after Thanksgiving, the week of  Nov. 30th to be mailed by Friday, Dec. 4th

Thanks for helping us out in caring for our missionaries!

God bless you,

Hello everyone,

Each year the missions dept hands out missionaries to the various pastors and their ministries to “adopt”, that is to pray for them, send gifts and supplies, and interact with.  We have been assigned Juan Domingo in Ensenada, Mexico.  Attached is the latest Newsletter with info about what is going on in the ministry. Please read it and consider how you might be involved.

·         We can all pray for them.

·         There will also soon be sent a needs list so that we can put together a Christmas package for him.

·         Christmas in October has begun, so we are able to send little encouragements to him and any or all of the missionaries by visiting the tables in the Missions Alcove.

·         We also need someone to be the main facilitator/coordinator for our interaction with Juan.  Read the newsletter, pray, and if the Lord puts it on your heart, let me know soon.

Otherwise, let’s all join in prayer and support for Juan Domingo, his family, and the work continuing in Mexico.

Dear Worship Leaders, Pastors and Worship Ministry Servants,

Hope this finds you well and blessed! We are sending out a simple reminder that the Calvary Chapel Worship Leaders Conference is coming up quickly on November 2nd–5th at the Murrieta Conference Center.

We are excited to let you know that registration has now begun and you can download the registration form at ccwlc.org and mail it in to secure your spot.

The theme of the conference is the "Majesty of God" and we will be focusing on His glorious attributes that reveal to us who He is and how He works. In looking at the 'Majesty of God' we believe that it will inspire our worship and bring us back to the place of being in awe of who God is and His great love for us.

Everyone from the worship leader to the sound man, to the senior pastor is invited and welcome to attend. If you are bringing 10 or more people from your church or ministry, there is a discount rate that you can inquire about when you register.

Please visit us online to find out more info and updates on speakers, worship leaders, and practical workshops that will be offered that week. Thanks for prayerfully considering coming to the conference and we look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

FW: School Of Worship 2009

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2009-2010 Calvary Chapel School of Worship Program. The Calvary Chapel School of Worship is a nine- month certification program developed to train those who believe God is calling them into the music ministry.

Our mission at the S.O.W. is to provide an encouraging environment for each student to become both spiritual mature and musically capable in their gift and calling. Through the faithful teaching of the Word of God from seasoned pastors, and practical instruction by gifted musicians, we hope to be a ministry that will serve to encourage, equip, and develop the gifts of the individual who believes God is calling them to the worship ministry.

One of the greatest needs in the local church as well as ministries abroad are spiritually mature worship leaders with a heart to serve, that can be a blessing to an established church or planting ministry. We realize that there are not many opportunities to be trained in this way, so we are offering classes that we believe will be beneficial in preparing the student to answer God's call to this ministry.

To give you an idea of what classes are offered during the course of the year, we have listed many of them below.

Some of the lecture classes that will be taught this year include:

Calvary Distinctives taught by Pastor Church Smith, Attributes of God by Pastor Brian Brodersen, Principles of Ministry by John Randall, Theology of Worship by Scott Cunningham, Worship Leader Dynamics by Bill Welsh and Overview of the Bible by Craig Coffin.

Some of the practical classes include:

Music Theory taught by Tim Nienhuis, Songwriting by Evan Wickham, How to Read, Write, and Understand Rhythm by John Ferraro, Vocal Music by Gia Lucid, Sound classes by Chaz Celaya, as well as Worship Team Development by Scott Cunningham . We also offer labs that focus on learning a specific instrument.

We hope that you will take the time to visit our website at schoolofworship.net and should you have any questions please feel free to contact us by email or phone (see below). We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for this coming school year and would love the opportunity to encourage you in your gifts and calling.

So please pray and consider attending the School of Worship this year, or share this information with anyone you think may be interested. Thank you and God Bless!

Sincerely,

Scott Cunningham
School Of Worship Director

Re: Pray for Armando's back

Thank you guys for all the prayers. I certainly have felt God's awesome hand on my body. It all started last Thursday afternoon, doing some yardwork. I lifted some stepping stones, but being on my Knees, i forgot about my back. Nothing really happened that evening. But the next day, it all started. It got worse as the day went by. To the point where even if I stood up, my whole lower back would stiffen up. It got pretty scary, as you start to wonder if this is how youre gonna be the rest of you life. I askd God to give me strength and by Sunday morning, I was really in bad shape. My wife bought me some Motrin IB and put some ice, I thought that by Sunday i would be okay, but it was really scary that it didnt get any better.  Your prayers have helped big time guys, as right now I can walk around. I cant sit down though, if I do, I stiffen up but, at least I can walk. God bless you all and again, i am so happy to know my bros and sisters prayed for me. On behalf of my family and I, thank you guys, that made my day so much.

God bless you all

Armando

Worship Conference at South Bay

So I got to teach this time. As always it was really nerve racking but also a blessing. Talked about taking over another's ministry. Kevin Click suggested the topic since I had taken over when Dan left. Pretty cool. It was interesting preparing because it was forcing me to remember things back 7 years ago. A lot has happened and changed since then. It's been fun though, so thanks for hanging in with me and praying for me. (I know it has nothing to do with me; you serve the Lord, and it is His ministry.) Still thanks...

Hello girls,

We are in need of another Sunday Night Singer, they only have 2.  Please pray and see if one of you might be available to join the team on Sunday Nights.  Also, they specifically need someone for this Sunday Night as Kristi can’t be there.  Any takers?

Let me know.  Thanks

Looking to develop your skill as a worship team or media team member of your church?  Here are some great opportunities for growth...

This year Worship Life is partnering with various training events that we believe in and recommend to you.  With a tight economy, we feel that it's the best use of resources for us to take one year to rest and focus on what God desires for us to do in the coming year.  As a result, we will be partnering with various local events such as the 2009 Worship Leader's Conference at Calvary Chapel South Bay.  We take our recommendation very seriously, so the events that we suggest to you will not only be of the highest quality, but will be Biblically sound as well.

We look forward to seeing you this year at one of these events or next year at Worship Life 2010....

Blessings...

Worshipconference.orgWorship Him '09

We have called this a ``Worshipers Conference`` and not a Worship Leaders Conference for two reasons: One, we believe that the calling on every `worship leader` and `worship team` member is to first and foremost be a `Worshiper` themselves! Secondly, we believe that true `Worshipers` fill our congregations and that they are every bit as important to the worship `experience` as the `worship team` or `leaders` themselves !

Therefore, this `Worshiper's Conference` is open to any and all who desire to grow closer to Jesus and to ``WORSHIP HIM``!   The Main Sessions and Workshops have been prayerfully planned with this in mind, the teaching and encouraging of both worship leaders and those of us who join with them in `making His praise glorious`!

This year's conference features Holland Davis, Bill Stonebreaker, Mike Stangel, Rick Nagura and Brad Hall

Hello everyone, I just got word from Pastor Jeff that we will send you to one of the following worship conferences if you can make it:

1.       Pure Worship Conference at CC Costa Mesa, May 1 starting at 6pm and Sat, May 2nd all day.  www.Pureworshipconference.com for more info.

2.       2009 SoCal Worship Conference at CC South Bay, June 5th 7pm-9pm, June 6th 8:30am-5:30pm.  For info coming soon at http://www.ccsouthbay.org/ministries/worship.html

FW: Pure Worship Conference

Is. 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

Hey Worship Leaders and Musicians,

I would like to invite you to this year's Pure Worship Conference 09 that will be hosted by the School of Worship at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa.

"The Call" is the theme for this year's conference which takes place Friday night, May 1st and all day Saturday, May 2nd. Its our desire is to reach out to the next generation of worship leaders and musicians to encourage, equip and inspire them to answer God's call on their life.

Since Pure Worship is geared towards youth and young adults, we will be focusing on giving them great Bible teaching and authentic times of worship to respond to God's call. We will also be offering many practical hands on workshops from guys who love Jesus and have a heart to pass on what the Lord has given to them.

Some of the special guests include Evan Wickham, Vicky Beeching, Tim Chaddick, John Randall, Brian Ortize, Todd Proctor, Caleb Clemens, Michael Smith, Danny Donnelly, & more.

The cost is only $25 per person, and the Friday night concert with Evan Wickham will be FREE and open to everyone. For more information and registration, call us at 714-979-4422 ext. 5055, or visit us online at pureworshipconference.com

Please consider coming along with your team and pass the word to anyone you think might be encouraged by it.

In Christ,

Scott Cunningham & The Pure Worship Conference Team

Psalm 111 - Part 6

V10 - THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM

  • wisdom begins in a man who properly reasons and comprehends the greatness of God: “His works are great;” “His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever;” “He is gracious and full of compassion;” He does not forget His promises; He is just and true; “He has sent redemption to His people;” “Holy and awesome is His name.

  • GOOD UNDERSTANDING HAVE ALL THOSE WHO DO HIS COMMANDMENTS because they desire to praise Him with their whole heart. Therefore, the fear of the Lord means we are so in love with the Father that we are afraid to do anything that would grieve Him. It is when we understand this that wisdom truly begins.

  • NIV reads “all who follow his precepts have good understanding.” – understanding comes from knowing the Word of God. It is sure, it stands forever and ever, and it is done in truth and uprightness.

  • HIS PRAISE ENDURES FOREVER or in the NIV “to Him belongs eternal praise.”

Psalm 111 - Part 5

V7-8 - The works of His hands are VERITY AND JUSTICE

  • God invented truth and justice as a carpenter might fashion furniture - they are His handiwork, thus, ALL HIS PRECEPTS ARE SURE.

  • His commandments are right and they STAND FAST FOREVER.

V9 - HE SENT REDEMPTION TO HIS PEOPLE in the person of Jesus Christ through the new covenant of His blood and HE HAS COMMANDED HIS COVENANT FOREVER. The blood of Jesus never fails, never expires, never stains, but cleanses us and washes us whiter than snow.” My sins are forgiven and forgotten.

“As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us”. Psalm 103:12

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”. Ephesians 2:1-10

HOLY AND AWESOME IS HIS NAME!!

Psalm 111 - Part 4

V4 - Because “His righteousness endures forever,” “HE HAS MADE HIS WONDERFUL WORKS TO BE REMEMBERED.”

  • The purpose of His wonderful works was to bear testimony that the LORD IS GRACIOUS AND FULL OF COMPASSION.

V5 - These wonderful works were:

  1. HE HAS GIVEN FOOD TO THOSE WHO FEAR HIM – He fed the children of Israel with manna in the wilderness for 40 years, neither did their clothes and sandals wear out, that they would be reminded of His grace and compassion.

  2. HE WILL EVER BE MINDFUL OF HIS COVENANT – God does not forget His promises. What He has said He will do. He did not leave His people in Egypt, but delivered them. He did not forsake them when they failed to enter the land He had promised to give them, but graciously led them through the desert and afterward, brought them back to the land to enter in.

  3. He did not leave them in captivity, but let them return after 70 years.

  4. V6 - Through demonstration of power, God removed the Canaanites from the land as He brought them into it. And through the power of His Spirit “may it please His infinite wisdom to give to His church the heathen for His inheritance in the name of Jesus.” (Spurgeon)

  5. We are now part of the new covenant of the Blood of Christ, and He is preparing a place for us in heaven.

He does not forget His promises because “HE IS GRACIOUS AND FULL OF COMPASSION,” “AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER.”

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Psalm 111 - Part 3

V2 - THE WORKS OF THE LORD ARE GREAT

  • Thus I will praise the Lord with my whole heart. These “works” are so fantastic and outside of human invention, they require study to comprehend. In fact, they become the hobby of those who love the works of the Lord. Here we see the origin of education: men so enamored with the creative and redemptive works of God that they desire to study them.

V3 - HIS WORK IS HONORABLE AND GLORIOUS, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER.

  • Diligent study of the great works of God will reveal that His work, His purpose or intent, in His relationship with mankind is honorable, glorious, and good. There is nothing false, unfair, unloving, or ungracious in His dealings with us. The scoffers and mockers are without a case for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER. Thousands of years from now further study, technology, science, and revelation will only further prove the absolute perfection and justice of God’s plan of redemption of mankind.
